Much has been maligned
about EA recently, regarding
loot boxes and the way they operate the business as a whole.
EA CEO Andrew Wilson talked at length
about the Star Wars Battlefront 2

box controversy during a financial earnings call last night.
The sad fact is, more casual gamers types simply don't care that much
about MTs or
loot boxes in many cases, certainly not enough to hold
EA accountable.
So in the interests of trying to find some positivity in this Battlefront II mess, let's take a look at other games that use
loot boxes and F2P aftermarket gameplay items in a good way, and think
about how
EA DICE might improve things in the future, whether through patches or in a theoretical sequel.
The reason for this is because the developers claim that the grinding will feel more «meaningful» and give players a sense of «accomplishment», which is similar to what
EA and DICE said
about implementing the
loot box progression system in Star Wars: Battlefront II.
EA also talked
about how players of «Battlefront 2» can earn Crates (
loot boxes).
