While public schools must administer a raft of
tests that include End of Course (EOC) and End of Grade (
EOG) exams
in addition to the national ACT for high school students, private schools receiving school vouchers will be required to administer a nationally - recognized standardized
test of their choosing to students
in grades three and higher each year.
The current accountability system, which was enacted
in 2013, continues the tradition of using
EOG scores
in grades 3 - 8, and End of Course
tests in high school, but ESSA will require more when regulations are released later this school year.
