Typically these periods in past few seasons has seen us chasing the top table team
with average of 10
points, then comes our end of season charge which has seen us having
more points than any other
epl team in the final two months of the season over the past few years as well. This is mostly due to injuries plaguing key members our team around this period every year, apparently we've gone through our rough mid season patch again or might still be going through seeing as we have list some key players like carzola, bellerin to injuries again.
nice to see you crawl out of your hole just in time to offer your 2 cents worth once again... unlike yourself I started following this team long before Wenger arrived on the scene and will continue to do so long after he's gone... in his earlier years I admired the cerebral elements he brought to the
EPL, which at that
point was
more brutish than beautiful, and I respected the seemingly tireless efforts of Arsene, Dein & staff to uncover and develop talent without sacrificing the product on the field... likewise I appreciated that such a youthful manager wasn't afraid to bring strong personalities and / or world - class players into the fold without being fearful of how said players would potentially undermine and / or dilute his authority... unfortunately this all changed about 10 years ago and culminated in the removal of all our greatest players, both young and old, without any real replacements coming in... from Henry to RVP to Fabergas and Nasri, it was easy to see that this club was no longer interested in competing at the highest levels... instead of being honest, minus the ridiculous claims regarding the new stadium, Wenger chose to side
with management and in doing so became the «front man» for this corporation pretending to be a world - class soccer club... without the «front man» this organization would have been exposed numerous years earlier, so his presence was imperative if the facade was to continue... it's for this reason and
more that I despise what this once great man and Kroenke has done to my beloved club... the gutless, shameful and manipulative way they have treated the fans, like myself, is largely indefensible and this is why I felt it necessary to start offering my opinion in a public format... trust me, I resisted the temptation for many years but as long as the same shit continues to exist I will voice my opinions and if you don't like it maybe you should look for a different team to pretend to follow
Well to a
point they are right, maybe we are luckier than your average PL club, but then we are NOT your average PL club, we are charged the highest ticket prices of any club in the
EPL for starter's and we are now apparently debt free and according to certain sources inside the clubs Hierarchy can buy any player we want, in short we are financially as big as any of our competition
with regards to the ability to buy in top quality talent, and while we don't have the money to burn that Man city or Chelsea have we are in a position to spend
more and spend it
more often as long as there is a degree of prudence.

Imagine our team played throughout the season like they did in the last 8 games of
EPL and the FA cup what would stop Arsenal being Champions
with even
more points than Chelsea got last season?
The stats do back up Pires, because Arsenal took 19
points from the eight
EPL games before Cazorla's injury in mid October and if we had carried on that number of
points per game the Gunners would currently have 76
points, two
more than Tottenham and two fewer than Chelsea but
with an extra game to play.
The good news about the
EPL table, however, along
with the fact that no club has
more points than Arsenal, is the position of our big spending rivals Manchester United.
I do agree
with your
points though one thing I want to highlight is that the major difference between Chelsea and Arsenal is Chelsea often play the
EPL the way English football is hailed / derided — fast, physical and direct although
with much
more quality of course.
