There are several precautions women with
early placenta previa may take.
Early placenta previa often resolves itself if the placenta doesn't actually cover the cervix, with the expansion of the uterus eventually pulling it up and further away from the cervix.

There's no way to prevent
placenta previa, but the
earlier doctors can identify that it's a present issue, the better.
They had informed me
earlier that sometimes with a
previa, there can be an accreta, where the
placenta grows into the uterus, and an emergency hysterectomy can be necessary.
Early in this pregnancy, however, it was discovered that I had a complete
placenta previa: My
placenta, which in a healthy pregnancy resides at the top of the uterus, was located in the lower segment of my uterus.
However, it is important to remember that a «hands off» approach is only recommended if the
placenta previa occurs
early in the pregnancy.
