Energy from the Sun — in the form of insolation from sunlight — supports almost all life on
Earth via photosynthesis, and drives the Earth's climate and weather.

So, God is our Environer, God is «the sunshine of the soul», providing for us what the sun and
earth, etc. provide for the plants
via photosynthesis.
The Sun is important because it provides the
Earth heat, it creates our daylight by emiting electromagnetic radiation, it allows plants to grow
via photosynthesis which in turn absorb carbon dioxide and create oxygen.
And if tectonic subduction zones did not continually recycle some of that
via andesic volcanoes back into the atmosphere for
photosynthesis, you and everything else on
Earth would already be long dead of starvation.
My opinion is that you are wrong on CO2 — producing CO2 is a benefit to all life on
Earth — we are after all carbon based life and all that carbon (directly or indiectly) comes from CO2
via photosynthesis.
