EAT Paella is still beloved here — there's even a Museu di Arroz — but a host of innovative chefs are raising Valencia's gastronomic standing.
(And the Valencianos would say the reverse is true — you shouldn't

In Spain we tried to
eat clean but we gave up on it the very first day, we couldn't say no to tapas,
paellas, ice creams, beers and street foods.
Combined with a variety of meats, shellfish and vegetables,
paella was originally a peasant's meal cooked over an open fire in the fields and
eaten directly from the pan using wooden spoons.
A fusion dish that merges Spanish
paella with Asian egg fried rice - a great way to get kids to
eat vegetables
Is it possible to prep all of this mixture into the cake tin and leave it to stand / fridge as i'm cooking

We
ate everything from falafel and hummus to nutella drizzled waffles to
paella and Serrano flatbread.

eaten at lunchtime — ideally Sunday.
We
ate Mexican at Hacienda Las Palomas (Senador Long 644) near Shopping Mariscal Lopez; vegetarian
paella at Spanish restaurant Taberna Española (Ayolas 631); a range of empanadas, sandwiches and salads at Bolsi (Estrella y Juan Batista Alberdi), and really good ice - cream at Heladería 4D (Avenida San Martin y Andrade).
Hi Mark It depends on where you
eat and how many courses, but the I took my family for dinner overlooking the main beach in Costa Teguise, and we had sangria and kids drinks and
paella for 3 people, and child burger and chips, salad, then icecreams and we paid # 40 for 4 of us if that helps
If a plate of
paella is too much on your night out in Denia, be sure to
eat traditional tapas at one of the many bars in town.
I've just made myself a couple of gorgeous healthy soups, courgette (with the ugly ones from the market) and Spanish
Paella (new recipe to me, more like a stew to be quite honest, but really tastes nice, needs a bit of tweaking next time,
ate it with avocado on sourdough, amazing combo).
For dinner the hospitalero made us two wonderful
paellas which we
ate at the round table for 12 people (one seat was empty), and then enjoyed the evening light reading outside until almost sunset (truth be told, the sun set after I went to sleep).
