While

The root cause of mental health
issues is part physical imbalance (e.g., chronic inflammation, thyroid dysfunction, autoimmunity, hormone imbalance, blood sugar dysregulation, chronic sleep deprivation), and part psychospiritual (e.g., history of trauma, cognitive distortions, social isolation, chronic stress, living out of alignment with the way human beings evolved to thrive —

eating habits can also result in reduced self - esteem and

issues, which again contributes to the cycle of
eating to feel better.
When you start searching for the main reasons of your inflammation like
eating refined carbs, taking certain meds or overall digestive
issues, you'll be well on your way of improving energy levels, the functioning of your brain, healing joint
issues and maintaining a healthy
body weight.
Eating poorly on a regular basis can especially create a sluggish liver and when the liver isn't operating on an optimal level we can experience symptoms such as constant fatigue, dull skin, dark eye circles, headaches, achy joints and inflammation,
body odor, mood and sleep
issues, PMS, poor concentration, eczema, and more.
At that point in my life, I chose to turn my attention away from my perceived
body issues and to focus entirely on creating health by
eating simple foods that could help me to heal my
body naturally.

It all started 10 years ago when, due to my
eating issues, I gained too much weight for my
body and mind to handle... I started with jogging, then running and lost over 15 kilos (from 70 kilos).
People that have
issues with lower carbs — I mean with higher carbs, they have to
eat a diet that's more insulin - sensitive so that it helps reduce their insulin resistance so they can basically do more metabolically by shifting their
body to burn their calories by decreasing their insulin level.
For about a year, I was a vegan to keep my
body alkaline, but I still had stomach
issues and could not
eat certain foods.

bodies are designed to operate on a lower number of carbohydrates than what we're used to

body burns calories, etc. it can become a weight
issue for some, if not most people.
I'm afraid that in medicine and health's attempt to «help» people get «healthier» we've perpetuated the very cycle we hoped to alleviate, by causing fear of food, distorted

I tend to put muscle too easily on my lower
body but also lose easily if I
eat clean but it depends because I have a lot of
issues (thyroid disease autoimmune, celiac disease,...), so it is hard to tell, when I struggle to lose weight, if it's because of my health
issues or my
body type!!
