availability for flights to Paris about 6 months out
and for
economy the
availability was exceptional
and even for
business class it was pretty good as well.
Thus, I'd probably try to use Alaskan miles on American to get to Europe,
and although finding

business class can be difficult, that off - peak 40,000 redemption in AA
economy is very nice.
The Star Alliance (which United is a part of) has great
economy and business class award
availability to Europe.
This means I will see
availability in the first
and business class cabins, plus either
economy or premium
economy depending on the route.

class redemptions, though I recommend trying to book as far in advance as possible.
