Elaborating their story feels somehow redundant: On Chesil Beach is surely one of those films which most viewers approach knowing at least the outline of the story.

There are even Oz - like moments when one suspects that all the
elaborate concealments exist to conceal precisely nothing, and the
story is an exercise in mockery, put forward by an author who himself
felt perpetually misunderstood and undervalued.
But the more answers people need, the more
elaborate stories they make up locking us forever after into an outdates network of outdated answers that once made somebody «
feel good» but now hold us back and hurt millions.
The
story is beatifully crafted in both writing and cinematography, smart,
elaborate and so incredibly poignant, think the end of MGS3 and multiply it by 5, that there are scenes where you litterally
feel all your senses soaring.
Plenty of chase sequences and
elaborate set pieces fill this brisk and breezy film, but the
story itself
feels a little thin.
Besides that though, the
story feels like «End of Watch» meets «The Lord of the Rings» without really fully
elaborating on how awesome of a concept that can be.
The look of the film is only so impressive, but with the limits of portraying
elaborate skate scenes that don't
feel modified by visual effects, it kind of suits the
story of a character who didn't get by easy.
Martin's
story (written for the stage) is much more
elaborate, a dramatic monologue delivered by a teenaged baton twirler who desperately wants the audience to admire and envy her but who can not quite stifle her
feelings of superiority — racial, athletic and spiritual.
I
feel his tragic
story (which was only really alluded to through the game's scattered documents) could've been
elaborated on to make him a more sympathetic, relatable character instead of the one - demential cartoon - like villain he became.
The live - action segments offer a way to
elaborate the antagonists and tell two sides of the
story but at the end of it all, these
feel completely unnecessary as the in - game sections seem to barely touch upon the stuff that happens in them.
Party members besides Mario himself were removed, moves in battle were now performed via consumable items, and the
story and cast were simplified, as series creator Shigeru Miyamoto
felt that the constant introduction of new characters and
elaborate plots had become unnecessary.
First off, there is no
story so for those out there who are buying this game to be plot driven, the
story is nonexistent, for those who play Power Tennis you will all know that there was a plot to the game, although it wasn't over the top it still had some sort of storyline substance, and although Mario Tennis Open did not have any
story either, I
felt that this game deserved a
story even if it wasn't long or
elaborate.
