announcement with the news that multiple games from the hit strategy - RPG franchise are in development.

Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia for 3DS, Fire
Emblem Warriors also coming to New 3DS, and the
announcement of a mainline Fire
Emblem game coming to the Switch next year.
In the hubbub of Nintendo's surprise
announcement of Super Mario Run earlier this week, a press release bearing disappointing news flew under the radar: the company's mobile versions of Fire
Emblem and Animal Crossing have been delayed to the first quarter of 2017 (via GameSpot).

New character
announcements lose their hype when it's nothing but Fire
Emblem characters and more human characters with swords... We could have gotten more unique characters like K. Rool, Paper Mario, Krystal, Rayman, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shantae, but no, we had to get more generic sword wielders... I would have been real excited for Cloud, but his moveset is nothing special.
Granted Switch has been doing a fine job with AAA
announcements with (Odyssey, Fire
Emblem 2018, Xenoblade 2, Splatoon 2, Breath of the Wild) problem is I'm not a fan of RPG's... I want more of that mainline classic Nintendo feel.

As Nintendo fans patiently (some desperately) await an
announcement of their next console, code - named «NX», and more details on the upcoming Animal Crossing and Fire
Emblem games (previously due this Fall), instead this new Mario game was announced.
The bad news is that with the
announcement of this title, the previously announced Animal Crossing and Fire
Emblem titles will launch later than expected, early next year.
