emotional but also a fundamentally experiential viewing.
Reviews of the extant literature indicate that, while results
vary in terms of strength of the
effect, the evidence supports the premise that interventions designed to improve maternal responsivity can enhance children's language, social,
emotional, and cognitive development in substantial ways (Bakermans - Kranenburg, van IJzendoorn, & Juffer, 2003: Warren & Brady, 2007; Yoder, Warren, McCathren, & Leew, 1998).
