second part of the article dedicated to his own special interests, does he implicitly abandon that same presupposition and begin to think exclusively
in terms of fields and patterns created by the various
energy - events taking place within those same fields.
Along with dualistic mythology several developments
in scientific thought since the seventeenth century have contributed to the exorcism of mind from nature: first, there is the cosmography of classical (Newtonian) physics picturing our world as composed of inanimate, unconscious bits of «matter» needing only the brute laws of inertia to explain their action;
second, the Darwinian theory of evolution with its emphasis on chance, waste and the apparent «impersonality» of natural selection; third, the laws of thermodynamics (and particularly the
second law) with the allied cosmological interpretation that our universe is running out of
energy available to sustain life, evolution and human consciousness; fourth, the geological and astronomical disclosure of enormous tracts of apparently lifeless space and matter
in the universe; fifth, the recent suggestions that life may be reducible to an inanimate chemical basis; and, finally, perhaps most shocking of all, the suspicion that mind may be explained exhaustively
in terms of mindless brain chemistry.
After Arsenal allowed ourselves to be
second best to Southampton
in terms of
energy and effort all over the pitch on Boxing Day, the first thing that Arsene Wenger would have been looking for
in the Premier League clash with Bournemouth was for the team to put that right.
In his opening and closing remarks, Peter Van Scoyoc, a Democrat serving his
second term on the town board, pointed to his record, and that of the sitting board, on open space preservation, water quality protection efforts,
energy efficiency, social services, obtaining grants, and planning for the future through ongoing hamlet studies and creation of a plan that accounts for rising sea level and shoreline erosion.
Hammond slammed Cuomo for failing to put forth an agenda for the
second four - year
term he's seeking, noting that
in 2010, candidate Cuomo released seven book - length white papers addressing everything from ethics reform to
energy policy.

The EU's binding Renewable

We've completed an analytic report that supports that approach

Unfortunately, the mainstream media and politicians on both sides of the aisle are parroting the hype, claiming —
in Obama's case — that unconventional oil can play a key role
in an «all of the above»
energy strategy and —
in Romney's — that increased production of tight oil and tar sands can make North America
energy independent by the end of his
second term.
The
second substitution is to treat Spencer's non-radiative
term — which originally related to internal
energy added to the connected climate system (like thermohaline - driven or advective
energy changes from deep ocean) as though it were the same as the whole variation
in OHC instead of the fluctuations due to ENSO (Effectively, he assumes F - lamda * deltaT = 0).

It is also interesting to note that if, the
second term in vanishes (making any temperature a «low» temperature as) and gravity does indeed behave like additional degrees of freedom
in the specific heat of the entire system while every small subvolume of the gas still behaves precisely like an ordinary ideal gas with kinetic
energy $ \ frac -LCB- 3 -RCB--LCB- 2 -RCB- NkT $ and yes, with detailed balance across any vertical surface (although yes, Joe, my argument involving shifting the MB distribution was sloppy and imprecise — hopefully you like this one better but the result is the same either way).
Since to me (and many scientists, although some wanted a lot more corroborative evidence, which they've also gotten) it makes absolutely no sense to presume that the earth would just go about its merry way and keep the climate nice and relatively stable for us (though this rare actual climate scientist pseudo skeptic seems to think it would, based upon some non scientific belief — see
second half of this piece), when the earth changes climate easily as it is, climate is ultimately an expression of
energy, it is stabilized (right now) by the oceans and ice sheets, and increasing the number of long
term thermal radiation / heat
energy absorbing and re radiating molecules to levels not seen on earth
in several million years would add an enormous influx of
energy to the lower atmosphere earth system, which would mildly warm the air and increasingly transfer
energy to the earth over time, which
in turn would start to alter those stabilizing systems (and which, with increasing ocean
energy retention and accelerating polar ice sheet melting at both ends of the globe, is exactly what we've been seeing) and start to reinforce the same process until a new stases would be reached well after the atmospheric levels of ghg has stabilized.
