I don't know what the deal is with this update but I've tried a half dozen different ebooks that say enhanced typesetting is enabled and all of them still have awkward spacing between letters, especially with larger font sizes, and there's not a single hyphen to be seen anywhere with any font size.

Currently publishers don't have a way to submit newer titles in KFX and the official Kindle Previewer tool does not support enhanced typesetting.
One highlight is the list of devices supporting Bookerly and Enhanced Typesetting.
In fact, it mentions that you should keep version 2.941 on hand to compare Enhanced Typesetting results with non-Enhanced when viewing in Kindle Previewer.

As a reader, I suppose I should mention that I can't read books with enhanced typesetting (at least not those with pictures to start chapters and fancy fleurons and lots of non-text) on my two - year - old Kindle Fire.
