David Ellis returns
to the Joshua Liner
Gallery for a solo show
entitled Hudson River Alley — a name that seems
to be a
play on New York's Hudson River Valley, near Woodstock, where Ellis recently relocated from Brooklyn.
Entitled «The Room» (not
to be confused with the Tommy Wiseau flick that's always
playing at Sunshine) the exhibit is the artist's first solo show in New York in over a decade, and it could not have found a more appropriate home than Oko, the nondescript East Village
gallery known for its immersive art experiences.
He will present a series of four lectures,
entitled «Grayson Perry:
Playing to the
Gallery», Grayson will explore the role and place of art in the global, digital landscape of the 21st Century.
