We three freshman enrolled in the new
Environmental Policy Clinic
course at Pace University decided to find out.
I'm in the second year of co-teaching a Pace University
course helping
environmental science graduate students develop the ability to communicate their work and avoid the pitfalls that come in a field that is often at the center of
policy disputes.
Science has a tremendously important role to play in guiding
environmental management, not as a decider, but as a resource for deliberative, evidence - based decision making by the public,
policy makers, and interest groups on the challenges, trade - offs and possible
courses of action in negotiating the
environmental challenges of societal development (DeFries et al 2012).
This
course will use mechanisms I tried in a seminar I taught a few years ago at the Bard Graduate Center for
Environmental Policy.
This
course contains solutions - based content on energy production and extraction, peak oil, fossil fuel subsidies, energy efficiency, equity, energy
policy and
environmental impacts.
But seen the
environmental global CRISIS of GLOBAL WARMING and its devastating climatological impact, I would recommend as an

I earned my PhD in
Environmental Studies and Chemistry from the University of Victoria where I was lucky enough to take a graduate
