In San Francisco for the opening of his print archive earlier last month, Mr. Ruscha made seven new
etchings at Crown Point Press.
The exhibition's new iteration presents twenty - two artists who made
etchings at Crown Point, a leader in the medium for over fifty years.

etchings of bow - ties and clowns that were made by the artist in the spring of 2017
at Crown Point, and also includes a classic gumball machine reworked from earlier days.

After a heart attack in 1989, the artist moved away from his typically large canvas work, and instead created a series of gouache drawings and two
etchings made
at Crown Point Press, San Francisco, in 1991 and 1992.
