No, I didn't, but only because I have this ridiculous dream of flying to South Africa in
Etihad Apartment (well, half way).
When it comes to premium cabins like
the Etihad Apartment and Singapore Suites, you'll often need to grab these seats out very far.
This means that you can still use your AAdvantage miles to book amazing cabins like
the Etihad Apartment or Qatar Q Suites.
Singapore Suites and
the Etihad Apartment are typically ranked in the top two or three first class experiences available in the sky.
The smaller number of suites makes the experience feel more intimate and exclusive and reminds me a lot of
the Etihad Apartment cabin (although Etihad has more suites).

One of the coolest features about
the Etihad Apartment for me was being able to move around and go from chair to bed as I pleased inside of a spacious suite.
That's enough for roundtrip business class to Europe and plenty for a first class one way on
the Etihad Apartment.
This flight was the first leg of our round the world trip where we flew in some of the top premium cabins, including
the Etihad Apartment and Singapore Suites over the course of about a three week span.

Personally, I spend the vast amount of my points on aspirational redemptions (i.e.,
Etihad Apartment, Singapore Suites, etc.), so the ability to redeem at 2 cents per point didn't intrigue me that much, since those seats would require so many Membership Rewards.
So I'd say
the Etihad Apartment boasts the better seat, but if I had to choose a winner for best seating arrangements for couples, I'd give it to Singapore.
But most importantly, he's working on trying out
the Etihad apartment suite and Singapore Airlines first class suite products ASAP!
