European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS) Working Group position paper [1] proposes measuring specific bone turnover markers (BTMs) in patients who have initiated use of oral bisphosphonates for postmenopausal osteoporosis as a clinically feasible and practical way to identify low adherence.
