At the European level, the party allied itself with moderate
Eurosceptics such as the British Conservative Party, the Czech Civic Democrats and the Polish Law and Justice, and sits on the European Conservatives and Reformists group in the European Parliament.
The best example of this trend is Andrea Leadsom who has gained almost 90 % of her support from leave MPs, including prominent
Eurosceptics such as Bill Cash and Andrew Rosindell.

Why would a supposedly «pro-European» government stand shoulder to shoulder with the Socialist opposition, who are staunchly pro-Russian and
Eurosceptic, in promoting
such electoral reforms?
Eurosceptics in Britain remain deeply suspicious of Van Rompuy's motives, however, and fear the implications of
such changes for the single market and national parliaments could be significant.

The group pressing for an early concession on Cameron's referendum believe that
such a move would ease the pressure on them from
