I'm an Aussie living in the Philippines and dining out (on business)
even as a vegetarian is tough!
I am trying to follow the McDougall plan and am aware that we as a country / society, eat too much protein,
even as vegetarians / vegans with our use of beans.
Even as a vegetarian I was absolutely not convinced of his conclusions as described by the website of the movie http://www.forksoverknives.com and found them to be biased.

However, it is unlikely that we could bridge the cultural gap and choose
as compass someone who was an ascetic and a
vegetarian and who promoted celibacy

It makes me feel that the term «vegan» is extremely unfortunate and misleading, because the term does not emphasize or
even signify respect for animals or living beings or creatures,
as it would benefit from doing, but rather uses a derivative form of «vegetable» or «

as if the central point is — eating vegetation, i.e. plants, which makes it sound like a diet.

vegetarian (I still eat fish sometimes though, but that need decreases) As a former meat eater I enjoyed Golabki, Flaki and Pierogies, both are polish cuisines because even though I was born in Germany, half my heritage (specific: my mother) comes from Poland and I grew up with traditional polish cuisine, which still counts as comfort food to me (Omg I need to mention I tried so often to make Bigos Vegetarian without sacraficing the taste, but it's still a challange) Bu talso my other half of heritage come from Hungary, I also enjoy traditional Hungarian food like Langos and Palacsinta (so good) Basically I've been brought up with no fear from anything new, I have no prejudices, try everything I can and enjoy home cooked meals made with local basic ingridients

I recently started to change my diet pretty drastically and
even though I love to cook healthy, I still can't get over the fact that (for me) a healthy
vegetarian dish can be amazing but it will never really be
as amazing
as a great burger or a cheesy pizza... This soup changed my mind!
I'm
vegetarian, lacto - ovo, (mostly for the reason that I have never been able to swallow meat,
even as a child) and I will eat gelatin, but I have to say that it bothers me a little.

I know my Chicken Soup recipe is not
as exotic
as some of your veggie creations, but it is a basic and
even a die - hard
