Seven game
modes allow customization of dozens of player preferences and include
exhibition games, season, career, home run derby, playoffs, and pitching and batting practice.
Offline, players can indulge in Training to refine their skills on the field,
exhibition matches that feature from one to four players per team duking it out for supremacy (against A.I. or couch co-op), and a Season
mode, which
allows players to play with A.I. or others using a player - created team to climb the rankings and win the championship.

exhibition mode that
allows up to 4 people to play with or against each other.
For this
exhibition the work primarily begun in the latter
mode of a specific event and then completed through the former exploratory path,
allowing gesture, pattern and layering to animate and release inherently frozen moments into a complex less fixed and known, ultimately transformative.
Still, while the two
exhibitions remain on view (the Curry, at the de Young, through Aug. 30 and the Spencer, at the Legion of Honor, through Sept. 6), they
allow us to look at two artists from different cultures who adhered to traditional
modes of painting while avant - garde movements, from post-impressionism to abstract expressionism, flourished around them.
