biggest surprises in «Avengers: Age of Ultron» occurs about halfway through the
film when our
heroes break away from the action for a more light - hearted family - centric scene on a farm.

OUR TAKE: Disney Animation (not to be confused with Pixar) has been churning out some good flicks, and while the marketing for this
film curiously doesn't stress it,
Big Hero 6 hails from camp Marvel.
Considering the
film was a perfect set - up and origin story for more adventures, this was exciting news for
Big Hero 6 fans.
In the
film's
biggest surprise, Johnny Knoxville is actually quite entertaining (or at least not annoying) as local gun - nut Lewis, who supplies the
heroes with their heavy firepower in the tradition of the greatest of all desert town defence movies — and no, I don't mean Rio Bravo, I mean Tremors!
Big Hero 6 is a vastly enjoyable
film, for all audiences.
Tangents aside,

My
biggest heros in this art are Bernard Herrmann («Psycho», «Taxi Driver», «Citizen Kane», «Vertigo») and Jerry Goldsmith («The Omen», «Poltergeist», «Basic Instinct»,» Papillon»), both of whom were pioneers in understanding the psychology of
film and communicating drama through music, and I'm doing my best to follow in their example, and try to be one of the more considerate
film composers out there... so, I was anxious to hear back if they agreed I hit the bullseye, blind.
Unfortunately for the
film its
biggest draw is also its
biggest downfall; Liam Neeson is the
hero.
(And like the
hero in the movie, the novice actor and his ensuing
film franchise went on to win
big at the box office as well.)
In a stronger year
Big Hero 6 might not have won the Oscar — it doesn't have the timelessness or universality of the best Pixar movies or the elemental fairy tale resonance of Disney's best — but there is no denying the art and heart of the
film.
