Now I find myself simply using
the fast app switcher.
If you see an app that's using far more of your resources than you think is acceptable, kill it by double - clicking the Home button (or dragging up and holding on iPhone X) to enter
the fast app switcher.
Because a swipe up now invokes
the fast app switcher, Control Center had to move.
Swipe up from the bottom bezel to reveal the multitasking
Fast App Switcher Dock (identical to double - clicking the Home Button).
On older versions of the iOS, rotation lock is found in
the Fast App Switcher, which you can open by double - clicking the Home button and then swiping left to right.
Swipe sideways from left to right or right to left to move between recently open apps (similar to double - clicking the Home Button to reveal
the Fast App Switcher and tapping on an app icon immediately to right).
Not exact matches
Once you are used to this gesture, the
app switcher will come up a bit
faster (or at least, the right swipe fools your mind in thinking that you're not just sitting there waiting).
If the
App Switcher is too cumbersome for you, don't worry, Apple has added a much
faster way to switch between the most recent
apps.
