Our in - depth Iron Man 3 spoiler podcast -
featuring interviews with director Shane Black and co-writer Drew Pearce - will arrive next Friday, April 26,
so that our American friends (who see the film a week later than us) have a chance to see it.
By not really attempting to impose an order on the collected behind - the - scenes material, and instead just providing a roaming, snapshot collection of production moments and offhand comments rather than sit - down
interviews, it proves enormously entertaining — more
so than the
feature presentation, honestly.
But in a recent
interview with Entertainment Weekly, Angela Bassett, who portrays Queen Mother Ramonda, said that Wakanda's culture is also the reason that Black Panther
features so many dynamic women whose nurturing qualities are seen as signs of strength.
«Stepping Into Darkness: The Visual Design of Sicario» focuses on crafting the film's look and defining cinematography, «Blunt, Brolin and Benicio: Portraying the Characters of Sicario»
features interviews with the three leads, «Battle Zone: The Origins of Sicario» researches the brutal history of drug violence along the border (it
features graphic imagery
so beware), and «A Pulse from the Desert: The Score of Sicario,» which runs about 6 minutes, profiles composer Jóhann Jóhannsson.
These come as video
interviews that cut to film clips with the audio running atop them,
so it feels like an abbreviated substitute for a
feature commentary.
The disc also comes with a 51 - minute TV spot from 1987
featuring Vincent Price discussing his career with historian David Del Valle, an
interview with writer Richard Matheson and a video essay about the career of director Jacques Tourneur
so there's plenty of material for fans to trawl through, but overall The Comedy of Terrors may not be a classic when compared to its main cast members» more celebrated works but it is a fun ride through the cemetery with four bona fide horror legends as your guides.
Clearly this year's crop of films is brimming with promise,
so it's a good thing we've until January 26th to take them all in — or at least take them in via reviews,
interviews and festival
features.
The movie
features no new onscreen
interviews,
so it is refreshingly free of talking heads.
The
interview also
features some concept art, including a submarine (presumably
so Eggsy can join the mile - below club), the burned - out rubble of the Kingsman headquarters, Julianne Moore's villainous lair known as «Poppyland,» and the Statesman facility, which operates ostensibly as a bourbon distillery under the watch of Halle Berry.
