federal budget makes smart investments for clean energy and climate action in Canada.
Jack Layton unveiled the NDP's
policy platform today. Among other things, it promises to eliminate the deficit (i.e. balance the
federal budget) within four years. I'm not sure it should.
The paper concludes that with the

budget cuts and the changes to the Canada Health Act and to the elderly benefit system, the
