Revisiting an idea he first employed in his late - seventies
project «128 Photographs of a Painting», he divided the work's surface into two vertical sections, then halved those halves, and so on, he had each work printed to his desired scale, so that we might contemplate what have become remarkable horizontal, rhythmic
fields of fine lines, oscillating with vibrations of color, the largest of which stretches over ten meters, as seen on the
gallery's first floor.

Gallery in 2013, the Hudson River Watershed and the upcoming East End
Field Drawings, which will be exhibited at the Parrish Art Museum, Water Mill, NY, in the fall.

In one of his most ambitious
projects to date, the artist's quietly powerful sculpture will occupy and transform MASS MoCA's Building 5, the museum's signature
gallery, nearly a football
field in length.
In contrast to the CCA Wattis Centre for Contemporary Arts's 2009 exhibition Moby Dick — curator Jens Hoffman's attempt to cover the human condition through an expansive nautical lens — Cooper, Yedgar and their participating artists have, according to the
gallery text, narrowed the
field and responded to Welles's «unremitting and ultimately unfinished
project».
