After the reveal of Pokken Tournament, a fighting game developed by Namco Bandai's Tekken team, there was concern that the game would be limited to
Fighting type Pokemon, as Lucario and Machamp were the only ones shown in the game's debut footage.

I would want a
Pokemon stadium style of game, with online, compatibility with
Pokemon bank, random battles, or a
fighting game base off of
Pokemon, but I think the problem with that is they would have to modify
type advantages and disadvantages.

Starring a bunch of different
Pokemon (
fighting types and otherwise) and a gameplay system that seems to be a mix of
Pokemon and Tekken (complete with mega evolutions), Pokken Tournament is a very promising looking 3D
fighting game that just desperately needs a Wii U release.

types, Dark and Steel, designed to balance out the extremely overpowered Psychic
types from the first generation and power up the
Fighting types.
It's weird that this
Pokemon is labeled as a Rock but is described in a way that would make it sound more like a
fighting type.

Pokemon since it's new to the series and the only thing that people know for sure is that it's a
fighting type and has an ability called Receiver.

Today, Namco Bandai's Katsuhiro Harada has confirmed through Twitter that the game will include characters outside of the
Fighting type, but just what other
Pokemon and
types we can expect isn't currently known.
Considering just how many
Pokemon there are, it looks like there will be a lot of them for the studio to choose from, especially since the game won't be limited to
Fighting types.
