the Fitbit step counter algorithm was as generous as ever, with us hitting our 10k target before lunch some days.

If you're after a simple
step counter, I would really recommend the
Fitbit Alta because it's the best of that breed, or a Xiaomi one, because they cost next to nothing.
During testing, after walking two blocks from the subway to the office, the Z1's
step counter reported about a hundred or so
steps higher than the
Fitbit Charge HR.
There's also a built - in
step counter, so if you don't want to shell out for the UA Band or a
Fitbit, there's no need.
