Flinders Ranges as we head north passing the
mining town of Leigh Creek and visit the gallery of outback eccentric Talc Alf at Lyndhurst.
The adjoining town of Melrose is the oldest settlement in the
Flinders, with a rich copper -
mining heritage.
Day Ten — Depart after breakfast for old copper
mining town of Blinman, then south through the
Flinders Ranges National Park.

Flinders Ranges, view the gallery of Aboriginal rock engravings thousands of years old before visiting the old copper
mining town of Blinman.
Visit Farina, Ochre Pits, Leigh Creek coalfields, Beltana, Parachilna Gorge, historic Blinman copper
mine and the
Flinders Ranges National Park before overnight accommodation at Rawnsley Park or Wilpena Pound Resort.

mining town of Andamooka via Port Augusta, where we explore the
Flinders Ranges and Outback in the Wadlata Outback Centres Tunnel of Time.
This 10 - night self - drive tour takes you from Adelaide to Palm Springs and includes exploring
Flinders» Outback and Uluru, walks along Kings Canyon Ring, a visit to an Opal
mine in Coober Pedy, and 4WD around the Wilpena Pound desert.
Leave Adelaide and head for

Highlights include the Flying Doctor Service, Hawker,
Flinders Ranges, Blinman, Copley view Aboriginal cave paintings, Leigh Creek the coal
mining town, Farina, Marree, Lake Torrens, Andamooka Sheep and Cattle Station.
From there is the chance to view the Aboriginal rock art within
Flinders Ranges National Park and
mine for opals in one of the 70 underground
mines of Coober Pedy.
Later, climb Patawarta Hill, some 1,015 metres, for one of the most rewarding panoramas of the
Flinders Ranges and explore the old copper
mining ruins of Artimore.
