Last year, No Kid Hungry's efforts served 177 million free meals at 47,816
sites across the U.S. through the Summer
Food Service Program and they hope to reach many more this year.

In addition to these major wins, our students demanded and won an increase in psychological, counseling and mentoring
services, an investment in athletic uniforms and protective gear, 47 new custodial positions to improve the conditions on school -
sites, an increase in career - technical
programs and supports, and new fresh fruit and vegetable
food programs.
Schools are also allowed to shield from charter use rooms not used for classrooms such as Small Learning Community
sites, space for district police, regional special educational testing centers, health center clinics,
food service and Beyond the Bell
programs.
Aside from its foster and adoption
programs operated in conjunction with the county's Animal
Services, CCHS has an on -
site free - roam cat shelter for adult, senior, and special needs adoptable cats, a spay / neuter assistance
program, and offers AniMeals, a supplemental pet
food program for companion animals of low - income county residents.
