Liberty Lake (KXLY)- Local
foods coming to
school cafeterias today Andy Billig, representative for the 3rd legislative district
in Spokane, says this
project is not only good for students, but business as well.
The
project's polls
in Louisiana, Ohio, and North Carolina asked about
school fundraisers, and most respondents said they preferred activity - based events such as car washes or walk - a-thons to
food - focused events.
Specifically, the
project is working to ensure that the USDA adopts science - based nutrition standards for snack
foods and beverages served and sold
in schools; that it develops and implements rigorous
school food safety policies; and that
schools have the resources they need to train cafeteria employees and replace outdated and broken kitchen equipment.
Donze Black explained the
project's role of providing nonpartisan analysis and evidence - based recommendations to make sure that all
foods and beverages sold
in U.S.
schools are safe and healthful.

Your analysis of who goes to most of these restaurants (die hards who are not terribly well informed or treat - seekers) strikes me as dead on, and I also had the thought that if the options aren't ordered enough, the
project might be conveniently tabled (as I think often happens
