Being from the Middel East, and very familar with
hummus, the absolutely necessary
ingredient that was not mentioned is a spoonfull of FRESHLY crushed
garlic.
You use black beans instead of garbanzo beans (or chickpeas) in this
hummus, but it still has many of the same
ingredients you would use in your typical
hummus recipe... like olive oil,
garlic, and tahini.

I actually worked it out to be cheaper than store bought
hummus (by a few cents) because the main
ingredients are cheap — canned chickpeas, lemon,
garlic.
Roasting the cauliflower gives it a nutty sweetness that works well with the traditional
hummus ingredients — tahini,
garlic and lemon.
