For everyone trying to compare switch ports to ps4 ports that's also not a good comparison because at least those systems come out with cutting edge new games every year that are in high demand - battlefield, Monster hunter world, while nintendo comes out with old nintendo games and ports from last generation playstation and xbox hardware so how can you diss the better systems and then rejoice when you get a game like dark souls which is from those consoles but is a shell compared to how they look and play on the better consoles??
With Xbox one coming up in a few weeks I got ta say nintendo needs to come on and release some good games on wiiu like smash bros, zelda, and animal crossing because right now they are in the toilet.

it definitely looks like the wii u is getting the shaft again... i wish someone would come forward and honestly explain whats going on with nintendo, the wii u and the industry in general.

yea you can download nsmbu and nintendo land on the eshop but eshop prices are a ripoff because they charge you 49.99 USD but at gamestop or walmart you could get it for 49.96 USD

The issue is not whether or not this seemingly random individual comments on Nintendos corporate decision or what the general opinion on the firing is (seems justified to me, you don't get to break your contract for the idea of transparency.)
all nintendo had to do was release something slightly less powerful than ps4 and innovate on the controller but instead they rolled out a. inferior hardware b. inferior online mulitplayer c. inferior hardware means inferior third party support d. tablet like controller doesn't bring anything new to gaming, you get an extra screen, wow e. they messed it up major this time had they only released a more powerful hardware and reinvented the controller, they wouldn't be at this position today, had they focused on having better hardware, lure more third party support, they would be first choice this generation

You guys are smoking something really good if you think Xbox 1 or ps4 is going to sell more then wii u this holiday lol... mostly every big 3rd party game is coming out on current gen or wii u this holiday... ac4, batman, rayman, splinter cell, watch dogs, call of duty, etc so most people won't even be upgradeing like that yet when mostly all the same games will be out across all consoles... Nintendo got all of them games then there games zelda, pikmin, wonderfull 101, Mario, etc and there ain't no game on ps4 or x1 that's going to sell more then Mario!!!!!! That's a fact... and to top it off we know the wii u is going to get a official price cut right before x1 and ps4 launch... and you guys still think they going to sell more lol... now the next holiday of 2014 that's the real question will nintendo still have some 3rd paty games and there games to hold off the next halo or god of war etc????
the way i look at it there are some gaming sites and some reviewers who i just don't trust I know gametrailers is owned by the parent company that is owned by MS yet they are still very fair IMO gamespot since the whole jeff firing / kane and lynch stuff has been spot on, they will point out very minor things in their reviews and are really strict but sometimes you need to find out everything and gamespot is the place ign has few reviewers who i like on playstation team but one thing i have noticed is how american gaming media gives MS a free pass but not to sony or nintendo, its funny and sad how MS gave up on core gamers for last 3 - 4 years but still got praised and some of their E3 conferences were graded higher than sony when sony showed games compared to dance central angryjoe is also really fair
@Pongwater see the problem here is the definition of multiplat so let me revist that... by definition when we said multiplat from history we mean its either on multiple consoles like sony Ms or nintendo or PC but when a game is only on wondows 10 or xb1 family hardware is techically on a pc but not define as such but as a windows game cause it wont be available to steam or any other pc sectors or even any other version od windows that makes it still by definition an Ms exclusive cause u can only get it from microsoft UWP and never on any other thing else So is it a console exclusive?
Triforce079 the only thing i got to say is watch MGS 5 extended trailer the moment they are on top opf the mountain and says welcome to Afghanistan damn that looks stunning also we didn't see the best looking games till 3 - 4 years in so wait, i like wiiu for what it is but let's not get over board nintendo isn't trying to push any graphics boundaries, and that's fine because they go with different and new art style for their games that 8 GB of ram will pay of down the road
This read really gave me a out of the box view on Nintendo these past few years, this opened my eyes on why Nintendo gets criticized so massively and even by me myself but I never realized and held the actual developers accountable for negativity going Nintendos way, though They brought some on their own, games are what matter when it's all said done, and sadly this shovel ware paints a bad picture for Nintendo and says a 1000 awful words, hopefully Nintendo can prove why their the timeless warriors of the gaming industry staying to their roots and doing everything they do fir the loyalty of gaming, us real gamers who aren't just interested in blood n gore though I do like it, it's just now what it's all about but innovative games that can grab hold of any aged gamers, this read should be spread around, good shit
The 3ds Bombed at 250, nintendo has a WAY bigger portable fanbase ands much bigger market share, and Sony thinks the Vita at 249 when we have to get pay a ridiculous price on those memory card prices will do well?

lol i'm enjoying my Breath of the Wild on my Wii - U, i skipped out on the first 5 versions of the DS (since nintendo has a fettish of making the same handheld system with minor changes / sizes) but got the latest version when Majora's Mask 3D came out so I'm not missing anything on the handheld.
sales don't really mean much though when it comes to nintendo systems, Wii made huge profits with only a handful of games (which is why it died pretty soon after, people still bought the system but after playing Mario Kart, Super Smash and Mario Brother's Wii edition so many times that system got old fast) The Wii - U was a MUCH better system but didn't sell because people didn't want an upgrade to the Wii, they wanted something new and nintendo did a HORRIBLE job promoting the Wii - U, not to mention they gave up on the Wii - U so fast they didn't even give it a chance, a system won't sell if it doesn't have enough games.
so I got to paid anothet $ 60 on the nintendo eshop to get the game.
