I think people forget the place of naturally
GF foods because they simply replace processed
GF foods for processed gluten foods.
And it was definitely naturally
GF foods that helped the most.
Maybe some don't view naturally GF recipes as enough of a recipe development accomplishment, or maybe it's simply that others don't need to learn about naturally
GF foods and are only interested in the baking component (especially those who are more experienced).
I understand where you are coming from, and I think gluten free cookbooks can be marketed to different GF audiences — the gluten free crowd is large enough that there is room for different types of GF books, and so I see a place for both books that do include naturally GF recipes (which I might call a GF lifestyle cookbook for an all around book with a variety of types of
GF foods), and books whose purpose would be to focus on the more technical recipes of replacing gluten.
I try to base most of my recipes around cheap ingredients and naturally
gf foods.
I absolutely agree that naturally
GF foods are important in books and on blogs — as you said, they are often cheaper and sometimes in our zeal to convert recipes, we forget the basics.

GF foods I would be ecstatic.

gf foods... I love Amy's gf and dairy free balsamic vegetable pizza, Udi's pizza crusts, Aleia's Italian breadcrumbs, Udi's vanilla granola, and Whole Foods chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting.
I'd see if you have an actual allergy first, otherwise you will be paying out the nose for
GF foods without any benefit.
I don't think it'll be a complete disaster if you use it but you may need to adjust the amount & it's possible the rolls will have a firmer texture that's more apt to fall apart like
GF foods tend to do.

I also try to explain to people just what you said: eating
GF «typically» cuts out a lot of processed
foods and forces you to make your own
food... that's what makes most people feel better... it's not the gluten proteins!

I haven't heard of any of these companies but crave decent Gluten Free
food — as someone suffering from Hashimotos, I find that a
GF diet drastically reduces my antibodies AND I feel so much better — superb.
I already have (and live by) your other books, but the bonus videos / recipes just show that you are once again, filling a void in an area where
GF people have not been able to enjoy common
foods.

When I look though so many
GF blogs I get the feeling they focus mainly on recreating the
foods they miss instead of enjoying and emphasizing the great
foods they can have.
Her recipe is from the
GF Channel, which sounds a lot like our
Food Network... and it's definitely going to be a challenge.
You have been so generous with your time and expertise to the LC -
GF community, and now with a
food bank donation.
I also see the point of the commenter who said eating should be about enjoying everything you can eat with no problem, not just
GF versions of
foods you miss.
For those who relied on processed
foods before going
GF, naturally
GF recipes opens up the world, if they let it.
To me, the way to succeed at the
GF lifestyle is not by continually replacing
foods that one can no longer have.
Even if you don't end up trying spelt flour, if you are
GF and still have gluten intolerance symptoms, maybe you'll find another
food on the list that is your trigger.
