GOG.com has announced that for the next 48 hours Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics will be available to
all GOG users for free.
The team over at Concerned Ape have been working hard and have released multiplayer functionality in beta which is only available for Steam and
GOG users at this stage, so console players wishing to get involved will need to wait a bit longer.
Specifically, the beta itself is available to players on Steam, while
GOG users will be able to access it within a few days.

As a digital gaming early adopter nearly 15 years ago, who was a loyal Steam
user even before Half Life 2 popularized the service, and a beta participant in the launch of «Good Old Games», I have a particular fondness for both Steam and
GoG.
The game isn't removed from the Steam library, and once a game is imported
users can keep the
GOG version forever.
