At just $ 38,265, our Challenger
GT test car costs about half of what a loaded Hellcat does, but frankly, where we live the GT makes a lot more sense.
Our higher spec
GT test car featured multiple - color mood lighting, excellent sports seats and the equally excellent EDC gearbox - the latter is throughly recommendable, unlike the 4Control four - wheel steering system which may make your rear passengers carsick.
Our silver
GT test car's V - 6 and stick shift proved a potent combination.

GT - R's performance capabilities remain a big draw even at the $ 116,880 price tag of our
test car.
Low - volume sports
cars like the
GT - R aren't often crash -
tested, so crashworthiness ratings aren't available.
This
test brings together some of the greatest analogue super
cars, including the the mighty McLaren F1, Ferrari F40 and F50, Porsche Carrera
GT, Noble M600, Pagani Zonda F and Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 - 4 SV.
My focus for the day was to
test and work on the chassis setup for two dedicated race
cars and an M4
GTS, but I had to at least try the M2 around the 2.0 - mile track.
Even as I trundled up seven floors of our parking structure this morning, the multiple speed bumps didn't make me cringe the way they have in some other recent
test cars I've driven over them, such as the Nissan

Last but by no means least is the Mercedes - AMG
GT S. It's not as focused as some of the
cars above, but it's already dispatched the likes of the Aston Martin Vantage N430, BMW i8, Nissan
GT - R and almighty Porsche 911 Turbo in previous evo
tests — meaning there's little doubt as to its ability.
As before, the mildly turbo - cushioned throttle response and linear power delivery conspire to make the acceleration feel less brutal than the figures suggest, but the eye - popping rate at which the
GT sprints between the seemingly endless bends of Spain's Massis del Montseny mountain road KTM has chosen as a driving route (Carlos Sainz used to
test here, apparently) is testament to the
car's raw speed.
Although we didn't launch our Bullitt
test car to the altitude seen above, the drive route through the city and to Santa Cruz gave us plenty of time to appreciate the advantages the Bullitt had over the stock Mustang
GT, and they weren't just cosmetic.
Even without the TracKey's race mapping, the Boss engine is significantly modified over a standard Mustang
GT's 5 - litre V8, with a new intake and new camshafts helping lift power from 412bhp to 444bhp, although curiously the torque drops by 10 lb ft to 380 lb ft.. It's the only
car in the
test with a manual gearbox and it's a really good one, with the pool ball - topped gearlever sitting perfectly in the palm of your hand and movement around the gate feeling tight and precise.
Today the
GT - R is making mincemeat of the three
cars in our main group
test.
After our R -
GT win in the 2015 Monte Carlo Rally, a quick turn - around of the
car was required before it set off for customer
testing in Ireland.
The fact that this
car has a slightly revised fascia with larger front air intakes, the Continental
GT's optional 21 - inch wheels, and reshaped exhaust tips leads us to believe that this
car is a
test mule for a higher - performance Bentley.
(The only quicker
car that Automobile Magazine has
tested is the much lighter Porsche Carrera
GT.)
As our R -
GT project must sell customer
cars to cover its costs, a series of
tests in the UK and Eire were lined up for February, so the
car had to be re-prepared without delay.

Now here we are in the summer of 2009, and the Quattroporte has evolved into three distinct models after last fall's facelift: the base
car, still powered by the 4.2 - liter V - 8; the 4.7 S, which was our
