Details about the new
Gallery app appeared a few days ago, after the guys at Android Police torn apart a leaked Android 4.2 early build, revealing that the Google engineers have changed the application's design.

The lock screen lets you unlock straight into the Web browser, Gmail, Google Search, or photo
gallery, which is nice (you can customize which
apps appear).

Just a web browser, Gmail, Google Drive, music player, notepad, image
gallery, a basic file manager, and that's about it until the Google Play Store
app magically
appears.
Note: If you delete a photo or video and it
appears to come back (without restoring it), try using your device's
Gallery app to delete it.
Some of these on the device we had were geared towards the Chinese market and probably wouldn't
appear on a device sold in the UK or US, but there's still a broad reworking of everything from the music player to the calendar to the
gallery, adding another browser, restyling the
app icons and adding heaps into the settings options.
When the right combination of buttons is achieved, whatever is currently on your screen will magically
appear in your
Gallery app.
