GamePad controllers though we will only see single pad demonstrations today.

Even
though the Wii U
GamePad's touchscreen offers a different interface than the Xbox 360 and PS3
controllers, the
GamePad still offers the same amount of face buttons, triggers, and sticks.
Some of them don't really use the
gamepad that intensively,
though, so you'll find yourself tilting it like it was a Wii remote and not really utilizing the cooler aspects of the
controller.
Hopefully
though the next original or new 3D Mario game is single player and a sequel to Sunshine, 64, or Mario Galaxy 3
though I doubt the latter as Wii U
GamePad is main
controller and not Wii Remote; unless Wii Remote Plus is used in a unique way than what was already done - or even do a totally new Mario as it is new hardware after all.
In the end, I still think the DualShock 4 is the better
controller, even
though I have been a little too critical of the Xbox One's
gamepad.
You can also play the single - player campaign with one of those
controllers if the
GamePad gimmicks are not your style,
though I particularly enjoyed turning off the TV and playing whole areas exclusively on the
GamePad with a nice pair of headphones plugged in.
