Battlefield 3 Beta Is Officially Over,
Gameplay Tweaks Still Possible And What DICE Promise To Fix

Along with the lack of online capabilities, the graphics could use some work, and there is
still some
tweaking to do on the
gameplay.
Of course, along with the new mode, there's
still more to be found in the recent update for the game, including some
tweaks to
gameplay as well as the UI overall.
Granted, that's
still not the same as a full on remake with nicer textures and
gameplay tweaked to accomodate the possibly different methods of input, but saying they're «upscaled» is downplaying it.
As you may expect, Capcom will also thrown in the usual character and
gameplay balance
tweaks for this version as well, while
still maintaining the same essence of the game at its core, so be prepared to either whine and complain if your favorite character got the nerf, or jump in joy if they finally get something that will make them competitive.
The game is yet to go Gold, meaning it has been sent to the factory and gone into full production, and so
gameplay tweaks based on the Beta are
still possible, so be prepared for a final game that could feel considerably different to play.
The lack of game modes and the improved but
still not there yet online
gameplay keep it from being a complete package, but in time I know it will be awesome with all the promised additions and
tweaks.
Variable gear stats, expandable attack, spell, and ninjutsu trees, a more mission based
gameplay setup, and other
gameplay tweaks bring Nioh fully into its own niche of game style while
still giving nods to titles that it gained inspiration from.
Even if the
gameplay doesn't get
tweaked enough to make it a great fighting game, Konami can
still make it a good game with a much expanded roster.
Even though all the
gameplay tweaks ands changes seem like steps in the right direction, I'm
still troubled by this trend.
It was so bad that Capcom re-released the game three times with different characters and enhanced
gameplay tweaks and it
still didn't make an impact.
Overall the
gameplay from the original had been left unchanged with only a few
tweaks here and there, and yet it
still played like one of the best and well balanced games in years.
Samurai Warriors 4 also boasts some additional
gameplay tweaks and even though I enjoyed the previous series on the PS3, the game
still had this PlayStation 2 feel to it.
The core
gameplay has been
tweaked in brilliantly subtle ways, the nostalgia - fuelled plot is one of the strongest we've seen to date, and it's clear Blizzard has been paying close enough attention to its competitors to prove it can
still do MMOs better than anyone else.
The game is typically praised for small
tweaks to its
gameplay while
still maintaining the series» tradition of excellent level design, vibrant cartoony graphics and catchy music.
The above customisation elements and
gameplay tweaks aside, it is
still very much Fallout 3 with marginally better graphics.
The
gameplay has been improved upon too, with the hacking abilities of Watch Dogs
still present there's been
tweaks and additions made, namely the addition of the RC Jumper and Drone, these are two pieces of equipment that Marcus can deploy to help scope out areas and reach areas he can't via vents etc..
The core
gameplay remained reminiscent of the 2D entries, as Bomberman
still planted bombs to destroy objects and enemies, though there have been some
tweaks to the formula: Bomberman can now kick and throw bombs without the need of power - ups, like in most games in the series.
It's a sad state of affairs when your current gen release is bested by the last gen iterations in almost every way, and although only the most hardcore of fans will notice most of the changes and little
tweaks to the
gameplay, there are
still undeniably some major issues that need to be addressed, hopefully with a patch in the near future.
But it
still feels like a big compromise — you get multiplayer, some
tweaks and improvements to the
gameplay... but largely it feels like a half - hearted effort, like a real stand - alone follow - up should have delivered more.
