NeuroCure is a Cluster of Excellence in the neurosciences funded since 2007 by
the German federal and state governments within the Excellence Initiative.
Establishment of the MAINZ Graduate School was approved through the Excellence Initiative by
the German Federal and State Governments to Promote Science and Research at German Universities in 2007 and its funding was extended in the second round in 2012.
The work of Henn's theoretical research team is part of the Precision Physics, Fundamental Interactions and Structure of Matter (PRISMA) Cluster of Excellence at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, which receives funding through the Excellence Initiative of
the German federal and state governments.
Promoted by these developments, the TUD has been awarded the Dresden International Graduate School for Biomedicine and Bioengineering (DIGS - BB, www.digs-bb.de) in 2006, funded by the Excellence Initiative by
the German federal and state governments to promote science and research at German Universities.
Oberlack's research is also a component of the «Precision Physics, Fundamental Interactions and Structure of Matter» (PRISMA) Cluster of Excellence that is being funded through the Excellence Initiative by
the German federal and state governments to promote top - level research at German universities.
CITEC will be funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) on behalf of
the German federal and state governments (EXC 277) as part of the Excellence Initiative until the end of 2018.

In the
German Excellence Competition of the
federal and state governments it was able to prevail with a graduate school, an excellence cluster
and its concept for the future,
and it is now among the eleven universities in Germany that were recognized as excellent.
The institute is a member of the Leibniz Association
and receives core funding of about 11 million euros from the
German federal government and the Federal State of Brand
