As the three friends try to set the ghost's spirit to rest, the key to this story (the second in
the Ghosts of War series) lies unexpectedly close to home.
Locals call them the «
Ghosts of War,» suggesting they're the tortured souls of the dead, and they may be right.

Ghost Of Sparta is an authentic masterpiece.
After his father, King T'Chaka (Kani, The
Ghost and the Darkness), is assassinated, T'Challa ascends to the throne as king
of the (fictional) majestic African nation
of Wakanda, a proud, protectionist nation that that had never been colonized by European influence, and which prides itself on isolationist policies that keep themselves self - sustaining and avoiding getting into protracted
wars.
As T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman: Gods
of Egypt, Get on Up) takes up the mantle
of leadership
of his people, he makes discoveries about his father, King T'Chaka (John Kani: The
Ghost and the Darkness)-- he was killed in a terrorist attack at the end
of Civil
War but is seen in flashbacks and in visions
of the afterlife — and about his family that involve secrets and betrayals and abandonments.
The film then becomes part «Rambo,» part «Apocalypto,» as
Ghost leads his tiny band
of fighters to
war against the Vikings.
Bainbridge thoughtfully balances old
war stories from the star names with archive footage and interviews that provide a substantial historical context that stretches from the shocking slaughter
of ghost dancers at the Battle
of Wounded Knee to the legacy
of genocide, oppression and violence that has shaped Native American lives.
However, while Chains
of Olympus is legitimately a washed out God
of War experience exclusively for PSP players,
Ghost of Sparta could stand right next to the original trilogy and claim a place in the heart
of the fans, as equal.
He did two films with John Irvin: the great Dogs
of War, and this, 1981's seedy, singularly unpleasant
Ghost Story, which represents the final screen appearances
of Fred Astaire, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., and Melvyn Douglas.

of all for this escapist format — humanely, emotionally credible.
