This is a difficult situation for the
club, ox wants regular football, forget about playing through the middle, but wenger can't bench bellerin, I was low - key wishing we sold bellerin, cos his form dropped, we can't sell ox now, he just turned 24, and he's a better crosser than bellerin, that's why wenger moved him
to rwb, when
giroud came on..
and i saw the u21 highlights today, the kid iis good, and will hopefully be great so excited
to have chuba as an up an comer if it was up
to me our striker order would go welbeck,
giroud, cambell, chuba and sannago would be the one playing with the u21 but i feel chuba's time will
come, and he's gonna have a huge roll in our
club
The French
club are not looking for a gift, apparently, and will include the sale value of
Giroud as part of the Lacazette transfer which is likely
to come to around # 60 million.
I've always maintained my stance that Arsene Wenger loves French players in his team than any other players. No matter how average you are once you're French and once you're in the first team he tends
to give you so many chances
to prove yourself.I can start mentioning them if you want me
to but I know you know them.If Lucas Perez was French he wouldn't have been out so early believe me.I just don't know where
to begin.Was
Giroud bought
to become a super sub or
to be the leading striker?Having giving us many sesons of failure people are now content with him being a so called super sub.A player like
Giroud is not built for that kind of role.He ws a super sub in 99 % of those matches because he was not played when he was supposed
to and we needed presence in the air.The funny thing is people are using only this season
to label him as a super sub. There were so many matched that Wenger should have started
Giroud but for some reason didn't start him.I only see Arsenal as the top
club who'd be crying over
Giroud.If a good offer
comes we should sell.
We are now officially a small
club, one that bigger
clubs with more ambition
come to and take our players at will lol what sense does selling
Giroud in January make?
I even thought top
clubs were in for him. Some three or 2 seasons back many here were debating why he should be our main striker. As soon as you mention any other strikers name people would
come out with stats and many things defending him.Even Wenger has defended him blindly in the past.People say Wenger's stubborn yeah. But don't we know that there's a reason why everything happens?Honestly speaking he's the reason why Arsene Wenger has failed
to sign a top notch striker because he still believes in him.The funny thing is we signed Welbeck at that time who
to me did nothing before
to be the main man here.People keep saying Welbeck is hardworking and that he works his socks off.But the question is was that our reason for signing him.Welbeck being signed
to challenge
Giroud tells me a lot about
Giroud's quality.Even Walcott (no offence
to him) who has zero CF qualities was even chosen over him for a string of games and all in all I think he did well but has too many defeciencies for that role. We've compromised as a
club and it'll
come back
to bite us.
After Danny Welbeck remined us of his lack of finishing finesse against his former
club and
Giroud then scorched a late goal past the Man United keeper not long after
coming on, I am sure that many Arsenal fans were goping
to see the France international start against Jurgen Klopp's side, but it is not
to be.
They are returning back quickly because the
club requires services of specialists outside the
club, the
club are penny pinching
to hire them and put them on a payroll, look at lucas Perez, he went
to spain and
came back earlier than expected, look at
Giroud, had a toe injury and took a longer period, the same injury that took Yaya toure two weeks
to get fully fit sometime ago.
Spot on bro... the problem with most of us Arsenal fans is that we've been made
to accept average as our only option after been promised by Gazidis and other members of the board that we will compete with top European
clubs... i feel some players need
to be allowed
to go in order for better ones who are ambitious and hungry for titles
to come in... and someone made mention of
Giroud saving Arsenal in a few games like the countless chances he's missed that could have put the
club in better positions could be equated right... he should have done that against Watford, west brom and the rest... truth be told..
fingers crossed welbz
comes good because it's euros soon so he has
to, with the form all the other English bpl strikers are in he has alot
to prove but i believe in him, remember our boy welbz scored his first hatrick for us in his first season
giroud only got his first this year after how long being at the
club...........
Up front we have a few world - class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than in North London, but the
club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due
to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the get - go... both of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough
to overcome such difficulties: not
to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player
coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real striker for years... finally
Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this
club's failure
to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on
Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled
to take their sideways soccer
to the next level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
Arsenal average postion
came up
to something like till CAM and that is a worry cause not only did the supporters do anything
giroud needed something
to motivate him and that was detrimental because of the fact that he was French and Monaco was arsene first
club and how badly he wanted
to do it before freed teammates.
Spoiler Alert people, we are not getting anyone in the front striker position OTHER than what we already have, there was a story in the star yestrday about the 250 million wenger is looking
to spend on the likes of Marco Ruess ect ect and I really can not believe that after all these years the Prof will change his ways and spend all that money and evern if he was going
to he needs
to pull his finger out as all the top players are being strongly linked with other
clubs, meanwhile we wait for the brat Vardy
to make up his mind when we know he is highly unlikely
to come to us another summer of dissapointment for us as wenger has already stated that
Giroud will lead the line next season.
I don't really blame any of those players at all, first mistake from Wenger was his team selection and secondly wrong players in a wrong position,, its quite sad with all their mouths and boasting of starting the season strongly and aiming for the league just a waste of energy and wishful thinking, am putting the whole blame on Wenger, where is Belerin, why Ozil, Cazorla played out of positions, you should know their weaknesses and strength as a coach, why must we pass and pass
to score a goal, many opportunities
came from shooting distance but the players will always be looking for the next person
to pass the ball
to, its quite unfortunate that a big
club like arsenal is relying on a scrappy
Giroud to lead an attack of a team aiming
to win the league.
I will be very delighted if you name me 10 strikers that are better than
Giroud and are willing
to leave their
Clubs to come to Arsenal.
No serious striker is going
to want
to come to a
club where the manager has had
Giroud as his main man for 4 years and genuinely believes he is a top player.
Giroud has improved so much since he first
came to the
club.
Should this even be a topic?
Giroud is a player of average quality always surrounded by good players.I just don't get. It's as if only Arsenal fans rate him. This was a player who was bought
to be the leading striker at Arsenal and after his years of failure which many deny he's now become a super sub?How laughable is that. From failure
to super sub.If the so called world class striker we're signing goes out with an injury for about five months who
comes in then.It seems
to me people lack vision. Why is it always
Giroud Giroud Giroud? After so many seasons people are still debating what souldn't even be debatable.I've lost count of the number of times he's been talked about here. This is the problem with our
club. It's just not ruthless. This is a player who should have been gone long ago but due
to him being French he still gets the chances. We won't miss him when he goes and I'd like
to see if he'd stand out in a smaller
club.
Giroud had reserved hopes of being the
club's first - choice striker
coming into the new campaign, but this record deal looks certain
to see him fall down the pecking order, and with the World Cup
coming up next summer, he may be tempted by the offer of first - team action.
Giroud did
come closest for Les Bleus but saw his effort hit the woodwork and that was not what the big forward needed as he seeks
to earn his first
club start of the new season.
It only happens once it
comes on sky sports news and it speculation before if we get lemar or mahrez or both then good, but we need
to sell ox,
giroud, chambers, Jenkinson, Theo and Perez
to free more cash, as for Alexis Sanchez well no one invincible and if he wants
to leave then Wenger should sell him, no player bigger than the
club
Clubs not making the CL can be a get out for many players, and I'm glad if these two said they want
to see if players
come in because lets face it, going again with
Giroud Walcott Flamini Oxlade as very important players
to the first team would be suicidal.
The forward really
came back with a bang after his frustrating spell on the sidelines and Coquelin was quick
to point out that
Giroud has always proven his many doubters wrong since
coming to the
club and the English Premier League a few years ago, but in a way these comments could be taken as a proof that perhaps the big man is the perfect player
to have on the bench as he will want
to come on and prove himself once again.
After pen
to paper is done its business as usual back
to 4 -5-1
Giroud up top Holding benched,
come March the excuses we didn't expect Cazorla
to still be out Koscielnys red card was harsh Europa league is tougher than we expected the players are fatigued after a return
to form in mid April I believe this team has unbelievable mental strength we have an fa cup final
to play 18 other
club would love
to be in our position judge me at the end of the season.
All the strikers fans been crying out for there is no way
Giroud would have benched them and Morata is up and
coming while
Giroud is about
to join the 30 and over
club.
Coming into a
club that has been blessed with spectacular forwards in the past twenty years such as Ian Wright, Kanu Nwankwo, Nicolas Anelka, Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry and Robin Van Persie, Olivier
Giroud certainly had big boots
to fill.
Hey SoOpa AeoN you got a cool but yoy don't talk cool at all along with rkw.I didn't like the way Chicarito's name was rubbed in the mad and what pains me is that you all think
Giroud is better. The fact that you are a team reject does not mean you aren't good enough or can't be world class.Do you want me
to name a few rejects who have become world class or have
come back
to haunt their teams. If I was
to choose between sticking with
Giroud or Chicarito for thousand years we all know who people would go for.The over hyped average players in our
club is unbelievable and it's just sad.The
club is also over hyped at times and we feel like we are so so big. It's a shame. The mentality of this
club is so so bad and trust me with this characters success will be far away for centuries
to come.
In order for the Lacazette experiment
to succeed several things need
to occur, many of which will require Wenger
to act in a very unlike Wenger fashion... firstly, Wenger has
to commit
to Lacazette as the number 1 striking option, which could prove difficult considering the way in which he has approached that position since RVP's departure... remember that Lacazette has only been here for a cup of coffee and yet he has already played out on the left... I'm truly worried that upon further reflection the
club won't be able
to resist an increased offer, under the guise that the work environment is increasingly untenable, and Sanchez will find himself elsewhere
come September (I pray not though); if that were
to happen I fear that Lacazette will be played along side
Giroud
Despite many rumours of offers it would appear that the only
club that
came close
to signing Oli was Everton, but
Giroud decided at the last minute that he didn't fancy moving
to Merseyside after meeting Ronald Koeman.
Our
club has moved
to bring in Alexandre Lacazette so far this summer, for a
club record # 52 Million, and his arrival was expected
to come as a blow
to fellow French international Olivier
Giroud.
Xhaka, who I like, or at least I like the Xhaka who plays for the Swiss national squad, has shown
to be in way over his head in the premiership... of course he showed late in the year that he can stretch the field with the long ball but our squad isn't really set - up for that style of play... most of his long passes are in the air not on the ground and our squad without
Giroud, which should have been sold the minute the transfer window officially opened, is one of the smallest in England... we need someone who can pick out the runs of our forwards in the lanes and who is fast enough
to come forward into space without conceding his defensive responsibilities... we rarely see him shoot or even be in a position on the field
to do so, we rarely, if ever, see him used for set pieces and it appears that the only person at the
club who has ever coached him up when it
comes to tackling is Coq, which explains his atrocious disciplinary record... maybe it's me but didn't you see him
coming in and contributing more from an offensive perspective, with his killer left foot, than a deep - lying midfielder... if that wasn't the case we are the stupidest team alive for taking him over Kante
Our
club is linked with moves for a number of strikers in the close - season, and if one was
to come in, you would think that one of Olivier
Giroud or Welbeck would make way.
After improving significantly year on year since
coming to play for Arsenal after leading his former
club Montpellier
to their first ever French title, you would think that Olivier
Giroud was a happy man.
Ever since the big centre forward
came to Arsenal fresh off the back of topping the scoring charts with 21 goals
to help his
club Montpellier
to their first ever French Ligue 1 title, Olivier
Giroud has been the target of scorn for some Arsenal fans.
It's on
Giroud and Theo (Campbell wouldn't be here if a
club would take him and he has not been played because he doesn't cut it, and Ox etc aren't strikers)
Come to that..
I think we need spain players with qualities, like Carzola for example... A player of Carzola's qualities can easily catch up with our game not like Olivier
Giroud that is taking a lot of time
to adapt
to the premier league game, so if i should select the kind of players we should be having i'll go for 2 strikers which are Roberto Soldado of Valencia and Falcao who is out of our limit cos there're a lot of
clubs on him in which we know Arsene wenger is not the type of Man that compete when it
comes to buying quality players so what i suggest is that Mr wenger should go
to Spain and pack as much as he can pack into the squad and let them all play Spain type of football similar
to barcelona's style of play which everyone knows...
I wonder why you people are dreaming good thing for Arsenal in which Wenger himself have never dream.Befor Lewadowski signed for Baryan Munich Wengar has the chance
to land him but he was not.So, do you think a good striker like Lewadowski would now want
to sign for Arsenal after all the good strikers are rejecting the
club do the lack of winning trophy.Any striker who want
to play for Arsenal Would player who
came from small clubes that want
to shows what he can do and
come to build his name in Arsenal and later move away
to win trophies elswhere. You didn't link Arsenal
to Brimigham City, Dinemo Zagreb, Bolton Wonderes, Lens etc.
to link their strikers that will
come and wast superb chances created by Ozil or Sanchez
to Arsenal You are talking of Lewa. You will know now when Wengar chang gear
to say their is no striker better than
Giroud in the market again that the fans shoul wait till January windows
to open because he his a coach of different excuse in different season.
SOUTHAMPTON: Olivier
Giroud hopes
to have kickstarted his Chelsea career after
coming off the bench
to inspire an eight - minute turnaround from 2 - 0 down
to win 3 - 2 at Southampton on Saturday with his first Premier League goals for the
club.
