If
Giroud is on the top of his game he might just put enough chances away for France to win it but that is the best France can hope for.
Not exact matches
He certainly did a
Giroud when coming
on against Leciester
on Friday and Ramsey has had his fair share
of injuries which have often come about from a busy schedule
of games, so perhaps he could
be an impact player for Arsenal from midfield just as the big Frenchman
is up
top.
obviously I would prefer to have a much more suitable alternative in the defensive midfielder positions but if they focused more
on defensive end and the occasional long - ball, this would allow Bellerin and Sead ample opportunities to bomb forward
on their respective wings while still having enough cover to maintain their defensive shape... it would likewise allow for overlapping runs
on both wings, thereby letting both Sanchez and Perez to cut inside and get shots away in and around the
top of the box with their most dominant feet... if goals
were needed I would sub Bellerin for OX and bring Ramsey in for Elneny then switch to a 3 -2-4-1 (more
of a 3 -1-5-1 with Ramsey playing higher up the pitch) and I would only use
Giroud as a sub when the
game dictated it for tactical reasons... this would allow us to
be a high energy team with incredible link - up play and a much more direct approach in the offensive end
When
Giroud is on his
game he
's excellent the difference between him and op strikers like Aguero
is Aguero has more consistency and can get the goal agains a
top team when its tight.im not sure any
of the strikers mentioned
are what we need, we need an aguero type player which none
of the mentioned
are.
Spot
on bro... the problem with most
of us Arsenal fans
is that we've
been made to accept average as our only option after
been promised by Gazidis and other members
of the board that we will compete with
top European clubs... i feel some players need to
be allowed to go in order for better ones who
are ambitious and hungry for titles to come in... and someone made mention
of Giroud saving Arsenal in a few
games like the countless chances he
's missed that could have put the club in better positions could
be equated right... he should have done that against Watford, west brom and the rest... truth
be told..
My happiest moment in the past 10 seasons as an Arsenal fan will
be waking up
on August 8, 2015 for the first premier league
game of 2015/2016 and knowing that its a reality that
Giroud is not the striker who we
are pinning our season
on and that we have signed a
top quality striker.
i
was very impressed with coquelin but we could all see the way newcastle
was fowling him im worried it only a matter
of time before his injured so we need suffcient cover arteta
is ok but if something happens to coquelin (i pray it doesn't) where his out for a couple
of games arteta can not play a bunch
of games for 90 mins all the time so im hoping arsene
is looking at a DM has we speak also
on theo, to
be fair to him he actually did ok great movement but it brings me to think that
giroud and walcott can play together in a 442 formation because
giroud can provided the hold up play for walcott to make runs and walcott can make the runs to allow space for
giroud if walcott has gioroud finishing and
giroud walcott pace we properly would
be with man city at the
top of the league
As well as making it clear that he would rather not spend most
of his time sitting
on the Arsenal bench next season, the France international star Olivier
Giroud will
be aware that he
is about to
be on the wrong side
of 30 and may not have too many years left at the
top of the
game.
Last but least Ozïl, the talent
is there and we know it:
on any given day at the
top of his form he
is arguably the best # 10 in the world and just need performances like this and the previous one to show it and remind everyone (what a pass for
Giroud); will do a lot for his confidence and also felt he could've
been more involved in the team play but that will come with
game time (got 90 mins today)... Hopefully that doesn't stop until season's end and keep them passes and goals coming... Dare I say I would've love to see once a front
of Alexis, Ozïl, Walcott / Chamberlaine and Cazorla (mouthwatering)!!!
Yes we have attacking options
on the wings (sanchez) and in CAM and
Giroud is doing an admirable job and Walcott could do a job down the middle but if we want to win more
games and finish
top, as well as having goals from the rest
of the team we need a demon who will bang in 25 - 30 goals for our goal difference and to pounce when it
's tight and that 1 chance falls your way.
Why
was Lacazette
being played
on the wing?He
's not that kind
of player. He prefers try to linkup with players ahead
of him and hardly tries to dribble. He should have
been played in the centre where he» smost effective with his finishing and movement. We him to get to
top form and to gel with the team.He
's our hope this season no matter who leaves. Also I watched only the second half
of the
game but what
's this I
'm hearing about
Giroud not passing to Lacazette or refusing his handshake?I hope what I
'm hearing
is not true.A lot
of our players
are still here due to Wenger
's kindness and if those players don't show respect they must
be shown the door.I
was very impressed with Nketiah and Joe Willock today.I wanted to see more
of Malen though.
Overall I
am happy with a draw... Yes we could easily have won the
game if
giroud had taken some
of the easy chances he
was presented with, but the spuds could just have easily gone 2 - 0 up a number
of times... We could have gone
top of the league today but with all the injuries at the moment the most important thing
is that we didn't lose ground
on city... Looking forward to after the international break when we will have the majority
of our players back #COYG
I think the reason why maybe half the fans (included me)
are not convinced
of Giroud as our first CF
is that we as club
are or used to
be very depended
on our CF to win as
games and some how have tradition for strikers to thrive in Arsenal (Atletico Madrid
are really good at that) even though they where not world class when bought (unlike Chelsea apart from Drogba and now Costa) With the midfield we have now someone like Bony would compete for
top scorer.
Trophies will depend to a large extend
on games against
top teams both in the PL and the CL and IMO,
Giroud and Mertesacker
are liabilities in those types
of games, or at least they
are players we can improve
on.
