Our 2016
Global Investor Survey found that 41 % of respondents were seeking an
income yield of at least 8 % and over half were seeking at least 6 %.
Accordingly, the price of and the
income generated by the Fund's securities may decline in response to, among other things, adverse changes in
investor sentiment, general economic and market conditions, regional or
global instability, interest rate fluctuations or other factors that may cause the securities markets to decline generally.
In response, institutional

In addition, they may have
investors that will look at the
global financial picture and cash - flow of borrowers and not base their underwriting decision solely on debt to
income ratios.
As our survey reports, on all fronts
investors are reassessing their short - term fixed
income investment portfolios, looking for the strategies and solutions that can best help them navigate the changing
global market and regulatory environments.
Some performance highlights of the year included; Rasmala
Global Sukuk Fund, which generated a net return for
investors of 4.97 per cent; the Rasmala GCC Fixed -
Income Fund, which produced a net return of 6.83 per cent and Rasmala Leasing Funds 1 and 2, which have to date paid average annual cash distributions of 12 per cent and 9.2 per cent respectively.
According to results from the Franklin Templeton
Global Investor Sentiment Survey1 conducted earlier this year, about two - thirds (61 percent) of American respondents believe the best fixed
income investment opportunities will not be limited only to the U.S. over the next decade.
