The point the distribution platforms are making is that
reader consumers are
going to get tired of sifting through the 99cent spam «
ebooks» and get fed up with being duped by piracy masquerading
as genuine titles, leading to a drop in
ebook sales in favor of «good old fashioned» (re: reliable) print books.

Based on the types of books you prefer, it may make sense to get one of the cheaper
ebook readers (Kindles are currently
going cheap),
as many of the books you purchase will be cheaper on that platform.

going to be plenty of ereading action on board the tab, with Digital
Reader cracking some code on the Amazon website that suggests that the premium
ebook renting facility for Amazon Prime users is almost ready to
go.

As I wrote recently, more than a decade of
eBook readers came and
went before the Kindle.
Our best recommendation in this case is to optimize the design for EPUB reading systems that are based on browser engines; that is clearly where the next generation of EPUB
readers are
going, and
ebooks should be designed
as much for future
readers as for the state of the art today.

As you know, «page count» in an
eBook is arbitrary in a reflowable
eBook, and can change based on the
reader's preferences (font face, font size, device size, etc.) In July 2015 when Amazon
