There may be
better preaching, better music, better voicing of prayers over the radio than one hears at his own church.
Whatever strategy is undertaken, it is most important that the preacher — and hopefully the congregation — is aware that
good preaching (which is an act of inventive world construction) is fundamentally opposed to two tendencies in our culture.
It may well be true that no church perfectly embodies all I have suggested (though, looking back at the article, I do not think I set the practical bar very high: decent liturgy shaped by theology, helpful catechisms,
good preaching, baptism, Lord's Supper, a basic grasp of history etc.).
