the Gospel against the culture even as an enfeebled and wounded Church fell back in disarray.

against culture» position is generally associated with the anabaptists, Tolstoyans, and various sects that position themselves as communal alternatives to the larger society, based of course not on ethnic distinctives but on fidelity to the
gospel.

against culture, but alongside and with
culture as we recognize and applaud the whispering of the Spirit in their midst, and then help guide and train the movements of God in
