pasta, but if that's not a concern for you, any whole -
grain short chunky
shaped pasta will work.
As a mini-colander, it can't be beat for pulling short
pasta shapes from boiling water, retrieving blanched veggies, or scooping up
grains.
But these days there are so many whole -
grain pastas on the market in all
shapes and sizes, and when paired with the right sauce, no one will know.
If you can not find pearl (Israeli) couscous, substitute with a regular couscous, small
pasta shape such as orzo or cooked
grains like quinoa, wheat berries and barley.
