As a 2500 cost unit, Shining Gundam is most definitely a melee type fighter like all of the G
Gundam units before it.
Not exact matches
This time it's
Gundam Legilis, a 3000 cost
unit that can put out a lot of pressure with its usage of the Legilis bits and its speed.
As a 1500 cost
unit, it appears to be your run of the mill support
unit in the vein of Gun - EZ and Dual
Gundam Assault Shroud with a good balance of long range attacks, melee, and a slew of assists involving other Tieren.
Looks like another
Gundam AGE
unit is added to the ever growing
Gundam Extreme Versus Maxi Boost roster.
This
unit is comes from the
Gundam EXA universe and piloted by Sthesia, who you might know as the main navigator of the series.
Bandai Namco have added a brand new original
unit to the Maxi Boost On roster, Extreme
Gundam Excellia.
The interesting aspect of this was that they not only retained the scales (so you could have a 1/144 scale
Gundam facing a 1/60 scale Zaku) but that you could also kitbash the
units too.
Also, it looks like there's more DLC in the near future as Perfect
Gundam has appeared next to Char's Zaku II in several released screenshots of the
unit select menu.
Full Armor Unicorn
Gundam, Avalanche Exia, Char's Zaku II, and
Gundam Sandrock Kai will be available as DLC
units for 476 yen plus tax.

As we await the upcoming Western release of
Gundam Versus on September 29 on top of unreleased
units such as Pale Rider and
Gundam Guison Rebake, Phantom
Gundam has been announced as a future DLC
unit from
Gundam Ace magazine.
There isn't much more information about the
unit in terms of cost as well, but I'm guessing it will be a 400 cost as there is a more powerful version of the Phantom in the manga, the Ghost
Gundam.
The first two
units are currently
Gundam Versus exclusive, whereas the last three are currently available in the arcade - only
Gundam EXVS Maxi Boost ON.
Hot on the heels of Update 1.03 launching later this week, Bandai Namco have recently provided the latest set of playable
Gundam Versus DLC
units that will arrive in August.
This means players will be able to use this
unit's parts to create their own version, as is the way with the
Gundam Breaker games.
While we don't have direct footage of the
units in
Gundam Versus yet, check out what the G - Self Perfect Pack and Bound Doc are like in their Maxi Boost ON reveal trailers below!
Over at 4Gamer they have listed all manner of new
units for
Gundam Breaker 2.
We'll see the following five
units enter the fray: Pale Rider,
Gundam Guison Rebake, G - Self Perfect Pack, Bound Doc, and Perfect Strike
Gundam.
Considering that the Xi
Gundam is already a popular fortress
unit here it looks like the Penelope might supercede it in terms of usage in the arcades.
On every Thursday and Saturday from June 1 to July 1 between 21:00 — 22:00 JST, players will be able to play the trial version of
Gundam Versus with a rotating set of
units within that hour period.
As we get closer to the July 6th Japanese / SEA release of
Gundam Versus, the latest Famitsu issue reveals 11 new
units to the roster!
The
unit will also be released on
Gundam Extreme VS Force as part of the co-collaboration between the two games on March 9th.
When the game released in Japan late last year, it was smashed by fans for mainstay
units having a reduced moveset compared to its predecessors and not having certain gameplay modes that were usually launched with other
Gundam VS titles, such as Free Battle and Course Battle.
Aside from that, there are several new
units to look forward to such as the Full Armor
Gundam and Psycho Zaku from Mobile Suit
Gundam: Thunderbolt, the G - Self from Reconguista in G, and the Kshatriya and Byarlant Custom from Mobile Suit
Gundam UC.
These
units will be accompanying the Perfect
Gundam on July 22 as part of the Midsummer Extreme VS. Festival DLC for Full Boost.
Out on October 31st, the Vita version will feature new
units (such as the ZZ
Gundam and Crossbone
Gundam X-1 amongst others).
The four new
units are Full Armor Unicorn
Gundam, Avalanche Exia, Sandrock Kai, and Char's Zaku II.
As Perfect
Gundam has already been unintentionally teased in images promoting the new update, we can only wonder what new
units will become DLC for Full Boost in the near future.
More
units are coming in the form of Perfect
Gundam and Marasai / Gabthley for both Maxi Boost and Full Boost.
Released on August 26th in Japan for 580 yen, the first volume of the Mobile Suit
Gundam Side Stories manga includes a DLC code for this new
unit.
They are Astray Red Dragon (2500 cost) and 00
Gundam Seven Sword / G (3000 cost), both variants of existing
units currently in the game being Astray Red Frame and 00 Raiser respectively.
Perfect
Gundam will be a 2000 cost
unit and the first entry from the Plamo Kyoshiro manga.
Gundam Versus is centered around having as many
units, pilots and so forth that it's hard for fans to say no.

With over 100
units,
Gundam Versus has plenty to choose from.
Altron,
Gundam X, and Astray Gold Frame Amatu Mina Custom are all 2500
unit suits with the latter two being somewhat clonish, but not to the extent of the previous Full Boost DLC.
Dengeki report about 15 000
units sold for SD
Gundam G Generation Genesis, and about 26 000
units sold for the Variety Kit (over 114 000
units since launch).
A few stand - out
units in particular are Zeta
Gundam and the Diebuster mecha.
These are owed, in large part, to high sales of Tales of Xillia (760k
units) and
Gundam Extreme VS (550K
units).
With the Full Armor
Gundam from Mobile Suit
Gundam Thunderbolt already in the Maxi Boost On roster, it wasn't going to be too long until the titular Zeon antagonist
unit was added as well.
Considering the current cost per
unit in Japan and the amount of
units that have already been released, it's a pretty tall ask for players who are jumping into
Gundam Versus and are wanting to get the whole package.

It's been a long time coming, but God
Gundam and Master
Gundam are finally joining the
Gundam Versus roster as the next DLC
units in January.
If you were hoping for more
Gundam Thunderbolt
units, there's good news!
The first is Aegis
Gundam, last seen in
Gundam SEED Destiny: Rengou VS ZAFT II Plus and a
unit that fans of the VS series have been requesting for awhile.
As time has shown us, both
Gundam Versus and Maxi Boost ON have been sharing recently released
units, so here's to hoping it will pop up in the near future!
As
Gundam Versus appears to have floundered a bit since releasing last year, it will be interesting to see if they continue to share
units between this game and the console version.
As a 3000 cost
unit, it has flashy funnel attacks, controllable gerobis, and a souped up wave rider burst attack courtesy of its Zeta
Gundam foundation.
