Gust's execution of this combination leaves much to be desired and I highly doubt another entry in the series would benefit Koei Tecmo or the fans of
Gust's
games.
Gust's Atelier series has become, over the years, one of the most appreciated Japanese role - playing
game series thanks to its light - hearted nature and the sense of discovery represented by some of its unique mechanics, such as alchemy.

Gust is back with another entry, Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings, which sadly takes a few steps back, resulting in a

Gust where the developer of the Atelier series tried branching out with a different setting and a story that promised to be extremely touching.
With the release of Cross Edge, we were hoping for a break though
game featuring five top developers; Capcom, Nippon Ichi, Namco Bandai,
Gust, and Idea Factory, after all, there is a certain excitement about controlling your own personal Prinny, Morrigan Aensland, Meu, and Aurica Nestmile army.
However, Vita players should be aware that
Gust often develops Vita - only updated rereleases for Atelier
games with a bunch of bonus DLC included, so I'd wait and see if they do the same for Sophie before parting with your cash.

It feels like the yearly releases stop the Atelier
games from improving as much as they should but

During the party the next day, we all walked on the beach in freezing weather, which was surprisingly fun, especially with occasional
gusts of wind and all of us having to huddle together for warmth, but we didn't forget to have some time in the cottage to get warm and play board
games, a must.
